Uttering the words "liberty" -- as all scoundrals do -- is a good way to assure yourself that despite all evidence to the contrary, the things you do that are widely condemned by others are justified because you alone are fighting the good fight for a glorious cause. Terrorists smile and are filled with the same warm fuzzy feeling of righteousness as they reach into their vest and explode all the innocent people who are so unfortunate as to be sitting anywhere near them.
