It is fairly absurd the amount of money that has been dumped into airport security, particularly since reports are security really has not been improved that much as a result. It is doubtful terrorists would try the "flying bomb" method again, since most airline passengers now know that if their plane is ever hijacked, they will need to fight to the death to avoid otherwise certain death. Frankly, the issue of chemical plants or a fertilizer/fuel oil laden freighter scares the beejeezus out of me more than the idea that my flight is going to be hijacked.
