Rest assured that with the housing bubble crash inflation will be more than contained.

I think protection of the dollar was important in their decision. Don't know if you noticed but we were way behind just about every other country in starting the tightening cycle. We will never really know whether Greenspan truely believes inflation is contained or puts up a front to satisfy long term bond investors. A question I've posed in the past but never had any response is if anyone has evidence that other countries are playing the same understating the true inflation game that the US is playing?
