Well I think you might be right, but what would that do to the unemployment numbers? Half the population earn their money flipping homes or selling on Ebay.

If he had half a gut, one Sunday he would announce a 'special' extra rate increase of 25bp, designed to stem speculation in housing, and just see what happened to the market. He could always roll it back if it got too hot. Or, maybe it is already too hot?
