Oh, gosh, no, just things I remember from college classes on the history of colonization of the Americas. Tulane (alma mater) did a lot of research in Mesoamerica.

Where I'm from originally (Louisiana), Spanish conquest is at least as relevant as British colonies.

They were here (US) first, but no gold or silver so they didn't stick around.

But when I hear "1500" and "Mayan" and "apocalypse" I put 2 and 2 together and that's what I come up with. Could be 5 or 3, just have to wait and see.

Heck, stuff on the net about "Apocalypto" seems like it could be anything at all. People saying it's set 3000 years in the past, not 1500 AD.
