The Fed is still fighting the last war: inflation, and we are only beginning to come to grips with the problems of the next war.

While I agree with this, the problem is fighting a war at all.
Each bubble gets bigger than the last by "fighting" the last war.

Now the FED is hell bent on stopping the housing bubble.
Unfortunately for the FED, housing (because it is illiquid) is the bubble of last resort.
