you are betting on future performance. then again future performance may just be a product cycle and nothing to do with ceo or management. take oil industry right now. check out the big bucks ceo of xon got for beating the numbers. does anyone think he contributed to the success of profits due to high oil prices in the last couple of years. they all get bonus money because of such large % increase to bottom line. g same can go with chip cycles, hardware, how about lumber industry if they become profitable because of a housing boom.. does ceo claim it was his expertise that brought in increased sales and profits. I like the turnaround ceo. these people earn their money.
