Nice try, but the clear difference between Muslim extremists and Americans is that Muslims commit atrocities and then claim it was for jihad for Allah. Our actions in Afghanistan and Iraq are a direct result of what our leaders felt was necessary to ensure that 9/11 doesn't happen again. We don't go to kill Muslims and then praise God that we've killed them. We go to bring Democracy to the region in the hopes that a superior form of government will bring freedom and ultimately peace to that region so that their violence won't continually spill over into our own region. As usual, your comparisons (and that of the author of the article you posted) are superficial and fraudulent.
