Yeah, and when you no longer own it, you can still swing by and still kick it...

Yes, but talk to people who have been though housing downturns(CA in the early 90's) and you will see that you can easily lose 40% of your capital, even though you can "kick" you investment......just be sure not to "kick" it while it's down;-)

well... if i talk to myself people will think i am nuts... but i can relate my own experience....

i sure kicked it to make sure it was there (CA) after that.... i leased it for three and a half years, took the depreciation (thank you uncle sam) and the money (the bank thanked me for that)... and at the end of the lease the market had recoup good enough for me to sell it...

moved on to better things. (in real estate)

did i lose my arse? A = no

did the sky fell ? A = no

did people run out in the street rioting because many lost their investments, o whatever the hell the prophets of doom dream a bad taco dream and attempt to put fear in anyone who read their crap? A = no

so what wil it happen today ?

well, i have no idea... but i doubt that apocalypses will arrive. (except for a terrorist attack... for that i wil blame the french, regardless who actually performs the T act... -LOL!

there are two kinds of people in the world.

those who will face bankruptcy for stupid financial decisions

and those who will not... (for whatever reason they avoided it)

fact is....

life will continue and it is up to each one of us to make smart decisions, or not...

feeling fuzzy because i made a bad financial decision and a LOT of people made the same stupid decision will not change my fate.... the only thing that can save me is if i do not make stupid decisions.....

being constantly afraid of the unknown bogey monster, who will come from who knows where and bite my head off is bad for my health, so i do not listen to such crap... no wonder many distinguished members of the society are avid clients of dr. zoloft, professor prozac, and nurse diesel

since nothing really happens, they are so nervous just waiting for hell to appear that they bring such hell to their own doorstep by patronizing the licensed drug dealer cartel and consume industrial quantities of drugs and then...

the real possibility of hell does exist... *public shootings* and the like...

blame dr zoloft, professor prozac and nurse diesel.

don't blame real estate. -g
