Any president or security advisor would have picked up the phone after getting the alarming 8-6-01 warning. ANyone would except Bush and Rice.

Why not is the question? Why did they deliberately ignore it? Did they want it to happen? Was it all part of the plan to let Al Qaida attack then use that as an excuse to invade Iraq and grab the oil? I don't know, but it's clear it was gross dereliction of duty.

BTW: Remember Clarke's testimony? After 9-11 Bush was already obsessed with Iraq. He had tunnel-vision. Iraq, Iraq, Iraq.

You are defending the wrong party on this. There is something that stinks to high hell in that WH regarding Iraq. And now we see the results.
