There is little comparison with the East European student population. Iran is still a mono-culture. There are not extreme cultural oppositions. It is simply a matter of which thinking will dominate in that culture. A more liberalized view of social organization is the current trend. I expect that to continue and student rallies are effective in bolstering that trend. I doubt we could expect to see any kind of revolution however.

Got me. I have more hope for the Iranians in general then the Saudi's. Most of them are so badly sucking the oil tit, that all hell will break loose once that runs dry. Nukes in the short term is Iran's biggest problem, and who can tell what will happen there. I doubt the US will do more major military adventures, so we will most likely just muddle through.
