As I remember, the doctors thought I got it from a louse abandoning a dead house mouse while sleeping on the floor of a friend's flat in Taiwan, but I could be wrong because the info I see on the web says it is spread by chiggers. Although I have forgotten the details, I have not forgotten the fever.
