Two years ago we went to Portland to buy my pickup. We had no car but a rental, so while I took it back to the rental depot my wife waited at the bus terminal. I got a call on my cell from her -- "There are Arabs on the bus we're taking!" I said "OK, I'll look it over when I get there." When I got there, I saw about a dozen men in Sikh turbans. I said "No Problem, they aren't Arabs and if if they were their behavior is so mellow I would probably ride on the bus with them."

Other than being in need of a bath and rather pushy to maintain their position in line, the men were no problem to me. They got off about half way through our trip.

Maybe police in a metropolitan city like New York could make a mistake like that. It's understandable, but one wonders.
