War On Terror' Remake?

I suspect that will have a negative impact on the morale of US troops. They're in Iraq dying and the Administration is playing word games.

I'm thinking that rebranding the "Global War on Terror" is just part of the coming "get the hell out of Iraq" move by the chimp prior to the 2006 elections. I have no problem with him declaring "Peace with Honor" and getting the hell out. The sooner the better. If he doesn't, a new congress may force the issue. Can't have that! Besides, we really just don't have the troops to even maintain current levels in Iraq, with lagging recruitment. Better to say we're "drawing down".

Jon Stewart had a hilarious bit on it tonight. Rummy screwed up, used "war", then corrected himself today.

You know... maybe Rove is not in on this...
It is very clumsy... and Rove is smarter than that.
Or he used to be.
