Interesting distinction. Could you then say that there is plenty of circumstancial evidence of God in the unexplainable "miracles" that have been testified to by millions of Christians and other people of faith? And since there is no evidence that God does not exist, perhaps the balance of evidence nudges to take the position that perhaps there is a God?

Of course, you'd have to take at face value the testimony of witnesses to miracles and that is suspect.
