In the USA, much of Christianity has become the "health and wealth" gospel. IIRC, the early Christians were quite the opposite on the wealth party anyway.

JF, What a cop out... is that what you think about Christianity?

Do you think it's all about good works? Do you think there is a sin so great God cannot forgive? How about a thousand little sins?

Obviously you have a problem with salvation by faith. That's not a big deal in itself, but you go even further and claim that "salvation by faith" is nothing more than an "easy recruiting tool" invented by "redneck sinning war mongering intolerant evangelists."

I think it's obvious who's truly intolerant on this thread.

So, IMHO, I wouldn't be so smug. I look at you and a lot of "Christian" folks on this thread and elsewhere and I see the antithesis of what Christ taught, I see the anti-Christ.

I agree with you. They are nothing like the teachings of Jesus Christ. The very idea that one thinks we should nuke Mecca and the other strongly supported invading another country and starting a war would make JC cringe in horror. Only the anti Christ would be supportive of those two events. And then they want us to give them more prayer time in our public buildings. I don't think so.
