Kerry has never been rich. He had a rich aunt who put he and his sisters through prep school and college. His father was some kind of state department official. Not even high level. His mother was a Forbes but not the moneyed part of the family. Kerry entered public service in the Navy and has been a publis servant all his life. He has never made more than about $150,000 a year and he's known as an extremely hard worker who does his homework. He was broke after his divorce and his pre-nuptial agreement with Teresa means it's her money not his. He does have a rich lifestyle now, but it's not his money.

Bush was born with a big trust fund, a silver spoon and never had a bona fide job until he was elected governor in his 40's. even then, and all along, he sucked on the teat of his father's rich friends and was paid for being a Bush. He got a sweetheart deal with theb Texas Rangers, insider traded at Harken and even as governor didn't do much. In fact even as president he doesn't work very hard except as a campaigner. He is a very good campaigner. That is really his only job, as a frontman. Look at 2001. He took the longest ever vacation by a president and ignored the 8-6 warning about Al Qaida hijackings. he was too busy clearing brush trying to look like Reagan.
