I think I read it as 5-7 feet being the limit. That is still a horrible event, but does not turn the globe into "Water World" (what a lousy movie that was!).

It is not that simple. See this link.
Sea level rise is caused by
1) Ice on land melting not the ice that is floating.
2) temps of the water rises, and less dense water occupies more space, though there is a awful lot of water to heat up.
3) then this link does not discuss the reduction in salinity of the sea water which is a whole set of effects. haline effect or something, leading to shut down of the warm water currents. Again here the percent of fresh water in glaciers etc is very small compared to the volume of sea water, so how much it will affect salinity is questionable.David Suzukis book
Earth in balance had the percentages of water in the ocean,lakes etc. but i forget.
