"The Death tax is immoral."

Less 'immoral' then a wage tax, I'd say.

The Constitution grants us many rights. The 19th Amendment granted the Federal government the right to tax our wages. If you find it immoral, then get it repealed. I will fight along with you, because a poor federal government cannot do much harm.

That being said, working is a privilege. It exchange for the privilege people are required to share the fruits of their labors with the government. Death is inevitable; the money that people have (legally) accumulated has been previously taxed. Double taxation is no more morally justifiable than double jeopardy in criminal prosecution.

Would you condone a tax that was randomly assessed against corporations every 50 to 90 years that required them to liquidate half their assets and pay it in tax? It would be as morally reprehensible as the death tax.
