Don't short sell ole Joe - and most recently Mao has been added to same famous roaster ("Mao, the unknown story", Jung Chang/Jon Halliday, Jonathan Cape. 832p). The two together did away with another 100-120 million lives in and during WW II.

Tens of millions of people died in WWII primarily because of Germany and Japan.

That's an exaggeration but its true that millions died/not tens of millions.

The world and the U.S. was sick and tired of the loss of life and the years of war. Japan just wouldn't quit. Something had to be done, so millions more wouldn't die. Sometimes violence is necessary destroy an evil power.

Sorry........that does not justify killing so many innocent civilians. Nearly a million lives were snuffed out in a matter of minutes. If you do believe in a higher power, then can you imagine the anger and pain he felt when nearly a million living beings were eliminated in one fell swoop? No supreme being that comes from good would have approved of such an undertaking. In fact, your late Pope condemned the war in Iraq until his dying day.

In the meantime, with the capitulation of Germany, it would have not been long before Japan would have thrown in the towel.

But none of this is all that important at this late date........what is important is how your bias allows you to forgive and forget this and other acts of American violence and aggression while screaming at the top of your lungs that Muslims are the violent scum of the earth. If someone as well educated as you claim to be can be so manipulated, imagine how easy it is to work with the uneducated Muslim kid or young adult who sees very little hope in his/her life. There is no excuse for violence whether perpetrated by Muslims or Americans and it must be stopped. But your accusing one side of being subhuman and prone to violence does not help the problem nor does it do us much good.
