Why are you wanting to legistlate away the right of our public buildings to display these things? Why is religion so offensive to you?

You answer the question first - why do you feel the need to display your religious symbols somewhere other that in your home, on your body, or in your church?

The reason not to is obvious. It can be offensive to members of the public that are of different religions than the one represented by the symbol, or offensive to the non-religious.

Would you like a large marble engraving 10 feet by 30 feet in your government building that says "There is no God!"?
