"The announcement that severe storms prompted the president's postponement came after the Scouts waited for more than two hours in the blazing sun in their dress uniforms, and was met with loud boos." My boyfriend has told me three times now about the time Pope JohnPaul braved a torrential rainstorm to meet the faithful while Clinton wouldn't venture out from protective covering...not that I've ever heard of their being anywhere together. I think I'll email him this story about Bush standing up the boy scouts.

AF1 can get clearance to fly around storms. Was there one in DC?
