Churchill was brave with American troops. We raced the Soviets to Berlin and got trapped in The Battle of The Bulge. With mutually assured destruction since the 1960s, the Soviets knew a war in Europe was untenable for a long time. That's why the Cold War was being fought in Africa and Latin America and Asia. The Evil Empire comment was silly since much of the world knows us as The Great Satan. Blanket political statements are statements of fact and do miss many nuances. We know the Cold War ended under the real George Bush. We know Eisenhower and Nixon ended the wars in Korea and Vietnam. We also know that neither of them were ever declared wars, so the nuances start getting messy. We also know that in "Bedtime for Bonzo", Bonzo coached Ronnie on his lines. <G>
