No. If one is happy with good, evil, instinct, freewill, etc, one never bothers to try and understand anything deeper. An example you may want to consider is that epilepsy used to be considered demon possession. Prior to modern psychology, many mental abnormalities fared little better. Fortunately science has a tendency to displace ignorance with rather more detailed explanations, a process which does not look like it is ending anytime soon.
