Your recall is a little faulty I believe. They started about $1700 and went to fully clad at about $3000. April 15th was the end of the first year of sales. And they set a record for American cars in their first year of sales - 415,000 units

They didn't cost me anything - salesman's cars are where the used demo cars come from. Great deal for salesmen; dealer registration & tags, dealer gas, dealer service, dealer insurance, dealer wash & wax. Basically a no cost car. I really liked the Thunderbird, but it took some seniority to get one.
