Ted, The individual must be willing to give up his/her possessions to make socialism work. Socialism isn't a dictatorship.

The giving up of possessions in a socialist government is not voluntary. Hence there is no free will involved.

This is different from a communal "socialism," where everyone contributes out of their own free will.

Socialism is great on paper. You would hate it though if your guy wasn't the overseer and you could not remove him from power....
