Being lied to by persons who are in an office of public trust and represent you, is not ever acceptable, nor is perjury or treason.

What is acceptable, is due process of law when you have a complaint about one of your public officials.

For Republicans Lying about Sex is impeachable, but perjury and treason are acceptable.

Oh, but Bush wasn't "under oath" when he claimed we had to invade Iraq because there were WMD there. Letter of the law you know.

Of course when no WMD are found, there is plenty of smoke - one can always bring up, oh say, the "oil for food scandal" (but as far as I know that wasn't ever advanced as justification for invading Iraq, was it ?)

It's all been one big opportunistic power grab, surfing on 9/11, and it's still working. The rate of deaths of our servicemen in iraq is still "tolerable", and Iraqis.... pffft.

It won't work forever, but the damage done to America is going to be bad. There are serious problems on the horizon no matter who is in office, make no mistake about this, but what we are doing now is sheer lunacy on top of it.
