Exactly, the sheer volume of corrupt practices by Republicans shock and awe the opposition and the American public. It's only after the family farm is bankrupted, mothers are shipped off to Iraq, an entire town loses its livelihood, a mind-boggling trade or budget deficit is revealed, thousands of young people have their lives destroyed that Americans consider what their voting has done.

If the redstates were able to secede now, would they bring back slavery? Would women lose their right to vote? Would evangelical christianity and its version of the bible replace the US Constitution? Would the gap between corporations and individuals, rich and poor become a chasm that can never be bridged?

It's certainly possible.

Iraq may actually be going backwards in time so redstates certainly could as well.
