OT Wonderful... Great Image... Fascinating... You must have great memories...<smile> Did you visit Matala as well... and were you there with Joannie Mitchel...? It will be our first trip to Greece... my wife and I are very independent travlers... research shows that Sitia will still have some great qualities remaining and the Lasithi area is worth the visit. Sitia and the coast south from there are just about the last remaining unspoiled parts of coastal Crete. West/North up the coast from Sitia they're building real-estate colonies like Florida... extending the freeway past Agios Nikolaos and adding a bigger runway for the package tours. Via is a long stretch of umbrellas.... and one can no longer camp out without being hassled Agios Nikolaos became the St Tropez of Crete... no longer as it gave in to package tours... Elounda is now their nest. Were looking forward to the trip. My Best, Chip
