I agree completely with you. The MELTING POT requires everyone to melt together. That is the past. Here in S.E. Fla. you could live your entire life never speaking a word of English and so long as you speak Spanish get along well, even in school. jdn

I suggest you learn Spanish and start celebrating May 5. Birthrates make that a safe bet. I've taken a few adult eduction Spanish courses, not that it did me much good. Our town has had Cinco de Mayo parades for a few years now. Times change.

Totally agree, as you know. But how to "fix it..." that is the question, and one that must be attended to ASAP, or we will continue having more and more issues to deal with. And looking down that dark road, if we don't get back to the Melting Pot.. we will once again turn inward to our own "little groups" and America will be the loser. The 'gangs' as they now exist are enough to make some folks go inward already. The gangs themselves are a sort of KKK in different garb, and if not stopped, will be even more dangerous than the KKK was.
