I agree. Roberts may not match some of my political leanings, but he is clearly intelligent, focused and a very good layer. He should be confirmed, and will be.

I think it's very High Irony that the WH's claim of 'lawyer client privilege' is *undermined* by the legal precedent established by Ken Starr's Clinton investigation!

"But in 1996, Starr challenged the notion that White House lawyers who worked for Clinton could invoke the attorney-client privilege when Starr sought notes they had written. Starr argued that the lawyers worked for the people of the United States, not for the president."

What's good for the goose is good for the gander, I suppose.
