Conservatives should be pro-environment, preserving and conserving natural beauty for future generations, but instead they've invented this "God wants us to harvest nature" excuse which is really about greed and their unholy alliance with the polluters, timber cutters (paper should no longer be made from trees, they're too precious), hunters, industrial fishing fleets, big oil, mining, coal, etc. Hence, conservatives are the opposite of conservative on the environment. And fiscally too, borrowing and spending like there's no tomorrow.
