No emissions at all when burned, downside is cost and is explosive. Also, fuel cells run on hydrogen via another process that only creates water as a byproduct.

Why do you think BMW is fooling with hydrogen when others think fuel cells are the way to go? According to CJ, to make hydrogen competitive, they need to integrate hydrogen with NaBH4 to stabilize it.

I wish either alternative was closer to fruition than 3-5 years because you know that after one of them is competitive, it will another ten years to make serious inroads in the marketplace. That's 15 years out at least.
