Okay, the sheep have flattened their affections to avoid being eaten. That's what they do in the wild. In nice Kiwi parks, such as Cornwall Park, they don't all flatten their affect to move from point A to point B. They move from point to point and express their individuality as the mood takes them. When threatened, like people, they affect the sheep affect and try to hide in the herd. Cats don't. I suppose Kiwis see the world in terms of sheep and Americans see the world in terms of psycho analysis jargon. The queues and victims end up looking much the same, whichever the description. Note that flattened affect makes it much harder to spot terrorists. I plan on not have a flat affect so that the people in NZ's bureaucracy can readily see that I am not a terrorist or illegal immigrant. In other countries, where I am a visitor, I have a very flat affect [for me] because it's their country and if they decide I don't have a flattened individuality thereby demonstrating a lack of desire for freedom [which is NOT wanted by governments of even the most freedom-loving kind] and total lack of affect [so that I look like an airport clone], then they might decide to tell me to get lost. Having decided to run their gauntlet, it's best not to be immediately evicted. But in my own place, where I pay the taxes and own the joint, I do NOT have to be a flattened unaffected non-entity zombie clone. They have to flatten their affect and reduce themselves to a zombie state, deleting all manifestations of personal desire for dominance and lust for power. They need to use good manners and proper respect. I see sheep, you see affect. Mqurice
