Maybe Bush let Osama go because he's a family friend. And by that I mean part of the Saudi-CIA-Oil Company-Bush family nexus. After all, Osama was a hero against the Soviets in Afghanistan fighting for our side. The CIA may have set him up. Just like Rumsfield sold weapons to Saddam. They don't want either to go on trial. Osama's family meanwhile has had long and valuable business dealings with the Bushes and all their James Baker type friends. Finally, it may be that Bushies actually secretly want terrorists strikes in the US, so that they can exploit them to consolidate their power and grab more money in the process. This would explain why they did nothing after the 8-6 warnings.
