Yes, I agree.

It seems to me that the charity business is another avenue for wealthy individuals to game the system.

The charities trump up their client numbers and their needs to make themselves look important and to solicit funds. The officers get a good salary...more than good and perks like travel questionable "seminars".

When I see a building being named after some individual, I often wonder how s/he stole the money, escaped prosecution, and managed to create a tax dodge without much squabble from the "citizens".
