I used his name since he was one of the best known of the breed. I agree that those as wacky as him are small in numbers, but those that sympathise are much more numerous. In eastern Oregon, the fraction of the population tolerant of government spying on (non Muslim) citizens would be a minority I suspect, even if limited to public place cameras. It is an issue that does not split nicely along political lines AFAIK.

It would be interesting to see how those on this thread view the issue. For all willing to respond, answer this questions Yes, or No.


I support deployment of security cameras in public places along with related tracking software and archival hardware as a means of bolstering US security under the current threat environment.


Either public or private message, and I will tabulate the results. If willing, please also state your political leaning (lean left, lean right?), so we can see if there is any correlation on the issue.

BTW, if anyone would like to suggest an alternate wording, I'm happy to examine that.
