She designs the structures, concrete and steel of commercial buildings. I expect soon she will be certified a Professional Engineer. My daughter is also a commander of an Army engineering company. Interesting dichotomy. Perhaps two dichotomies. Army Combat Engineers are much more interested in the destruction of concrete and steel structures than in building them. Their structural expertise is in temporary bridges, roads, runways, and small combat facilities, bunkers, etc. Concrete and steel commercial buildings are designed by architects. Engineers design or approve some of the components to support the architectural design. Tell your daughter thanks for serving...from an old 12B4S29
