People who worked abroad tend to exagerate what they've seen, heard, experienced.

I've seen guys who'd been six months in Nigeria and will spend a whole night talking about his "experience" there. Even if he had been there 20 years he wouldn't have had all those experiences. He gets all what he's heard while there and talk at a single go. Perhaps this GM teacher got the his own experience and added up all what he's heard from GM guys all over the world over their whole life.

Perhaps TJ is saying that MNC sow progress: "from america to canada, canada to mexico, mexico to south america, south america to asia..."

MNCs are the tools that make those countries to advance. Show the most backward country and you see a country where there MNCs.

"...give me good reasons why they cant go from asia to africa..." I gave the reasons in my posting about day to day business in Africa.

not one single country, but 200 tribes

literacy / education tradition / savings

the multinationals only seriously entered china post 1992, what happened before had to be by internal attitude adjustment

etc

so on and so forth
