I don't think Kasreil is really a monetarist? Think he is just observing that fanatical monetarists crazies rule.

Your view that the real agenda is to blow Bubbles for Mr. Creosote and Pig men is absolutely correct. The problem they face is that the fundamentals supporting these prices are now non-existant, examples:
westpalmbeach.craigslist.org
sandiego.craigslist.org

That has to be pointing to a very powerful deleveraging and run for the hills process getting stealithly underway. The problem observors face is that data is suspect and "subject to revision", and in the rear view mirror. Alot has happened since May-June, and even that period was filled with "my dog ate the homework excuses". We need to be totally focused on current day by day trends now.

I attacked what I perceive as a hidden agenda (shared by many in the financial community) to keep the bubbles going as long as possible.

Why else would he think it is a good idea for the Fed to pause at 3.5% (less than 1% in real terms even using the doctored CPI numbers) with the markets and economy still quite strong.

Boy do you misread Kasriel!
I know because I talk to him twice a month.
I know some things that I can not really discuss.
But please bear in mind that Paul publicly called for China to back the RMB by gold.

Now, does that sound like a US cheerleader to you?
