That sounds like a wonderful day, including the family and the dogs. It's been ages since we did that. We use to sail a lot and would take the kids when they could get away for more than a weekend. Have some pretty funny and wild stories during those times. Never a dull moment in our family, it seems. Something is always going on. Some bad, but the good outweighed the bad. Great memories for all. My Grandson, his wife and baby are taking us up the country to see our youngest son's and wife's new business they are undertaking so we will be gone most of the day. It is in her home town. I have been up there twice in the last two weeks and still look forward to the ride. Just about the whole family has been up to take a look see. We're all so excited for them and they have worked so hard to get it ready. Amazing what one can do when they want to and show what can be accomplished from a shell of a building. Many heads have gone into the discussion and throwing out ideas to them. I have found that my kids are very talented in so many ways and am proud to see it. Am really proud too that most of my values have shown up in them also. Wondered at times when they were in their teenage days asserting their independence, as I guess as all parents do. It must have rubbed off on them while I wasn't looking. <gg> but mighty glad for that.
