Thud! (s)

I have yet to read impeachable information, but otherwise I agree with you...if they can come up with more evidence, you may get your wish.

Although I rarely agree with you tonto, Kerry did support the Iraq war, and STILL supports it. But the chimp is the one who ginned up the phony intel to launch it, and planned for it from his first day in office. That's why he should be impeached.

Kerry supports the troops in Iraq and disarming Saddam. He did not support the way Bush went to war. Not at all. If Kerry had been in charge everything would have been done differently, much more responsibly, with much more coalition building and preparation, much better planned. Also, the job against Al Qaida would have been finished first.

In fact JK might have been able to avoid the whole mess and still get rid of Saddam. But no, he never supported Bush's rush to war. He made that very clear before his vote and after his vote.

The correct vote was neither yes nor no, it was a conditional yes or conditional no. Kerry could have not voted but he really did want to send a strong signal to Saddam to open up the country for thorough inspections. Up until the time Bush rushed into Iraq, that was working.

Onh this point both liberals and rightwingers are wrong. The right vote was inbetween. "Go to war only if --- as a last resort because we have to, not because we want to". That's was clearly JK's position from the beginning until the end. Never changed it. Never flip-flopped. And he was right.

Here is what Kerry said before the war on Iraq.

States very clearly that if Bush doesn't go all the way with the diplomacy and builds a strong coalition that he will be among the first to speak out. Some call that sitting on the fence, I call it holding Bush's feet to the fire. The only thing wrong about invading Iraq was how Bush did it, with piss poor preparation, almost unilaterally without finishing the inspections and finding proof of WMD's.
