Funny. I remember the Republicans largely being FOR civil rights legislation in the '60s. It was the Dems from the South who wanted it blocked. Now the Repubs didn't approve of LBJ's Great Society ideas- -but his welfare is looked at even by many blacks these days as being simply a method of enslaving them to the federal gov't. As I said, ignorant. You may call it namecalling. I call it FACT. The Democrats were the party of secession and rebellion, remember? Quit calling yourself a Republican. You aren't and you never were and we don't want you.
