Arun you're not a typical Hindu I'm not a typical Brazilian. We are the exception, the big masses out there are the rule.

In Brazil there are 6 million people who can work productively in a modern economy. Which like 3% of the total populace.

In India it could be even less than 3% since in Brazil there is much less diversity and diversity (as economic growth is concerned) is bad.

Arun, since we like to deal in wild genralizations on this thread, would you comment to the differences between people from Dehli, Mumbai, and some other cities or states ?

Don't some emphasize business more than others ?

arun gera Re: "India" My college room mate for three years back in the 1960's is from Ahmedabad, that is Gujarat State I think. At one time we shared an apartment with two guys from southern India, they were "Brahmin" guys from a rural place and VERY religious and here on a scholarship. Another time we shared a house with two guys from Pakistan.

All these guys are still here and have done very well, most of them in the Carolinas. My buddy had two years engineering school in India before he came here and was a total math genius; he could have taught calculus here if anybody could have understood his English.
