Kerry's weakness was that Bush cheated, lied and scared Americans into not seeing the clear benefits of having Kerry as POTUS over the already failed GW Bush. - Ohio voting fraud and maybe in other states too (the biggie since we all knew it was going to be very close) - Huge smear campaign by smearvets and many others trying to turn Kerry's sterling war hero status into "treason" - At least a half dozen phony terrorist alerts, including the day Kerry selected Edwards - Exploiting 9-11 despite the protests of the victims families - TV ads claiming Kerry voted against all the weapons we need for the war on terror - TV ads claiming Kerry changed his stance on Iraq (which hapened to be the 100% correct stance) - Smears through tricksters like Drudge which turned out to be 100% false - Character attacks on Kerry's wife even though the GOP had asked her to run for senator for them in 1992
