There are some great people on that list. I have read Kozol's books- I wonder what he did to piss the writer off? Just being a prominent liberal? And Bill Moyers? Weird.

I saw the author on The Daily Show. Jon Stewart showed him to be a total right wing idiot. Also, surprisingly, he had no sense of humor at all, though parts of the book are funny. He must have a funny editor. Basically, the argument is that writing a rap song is poison for America, but sending off 1000s of Americans to get killed and maimed, and killing 10s of thousands of Iraqis, is a great tonic for what ails ya. Stewart also mentioned that the bad language on tv today is not as detrimental as the segregation of the 50s, but Goldfart didn't get it. Nor did Santorum when he was on with a similar "Let's go back to the 50s" book. The only wingnut who got Stewart's argument was, believe it or not, Zell Smells Miller.
