great example was how hard the union fought the black boxes , yet they love them now as it has saved many a lives. Why , because of failures they can go back and listen to what happen when the event took place, action taken in the cockpit and by going over it they have discovered mechanical, judgement errors and avoided these situations in future instances.. better training. not used for disciplinary actions.

I'm no longer posting on this thread, but will respond to your post this once.

You are correct about the overall issues of camera's in cockpits. There were two additional specific events, namely the Silkair & Egypt airline crashes that looked like pilot induced crashes. In both cases the investigations were lengthy, expensive, and the results were not well accepted by some because of the implications. The Silkair one was the more problematic one, since the aircraft was a 737, and there had been several disasters with that type related to faulty rudder controls. So Boeing needed to know that it was not that issue.

At any rate, whether the camera's are in cockpits or city streets, it is generally the ones being looked at who may object. Others tend not to care. Hence my interest in seeing what the members of this thread thought on the issue. I got no response on the question, and will not be posting here anymore anyway. Good luck!
