The Dems are pitiful, but the Republicans seem EVIL. AS you've pointed out, the real problem is the entrenched ignorance of Americans in general. The Republicans make a living off pandering to the racist, the hater, the fearful, the stupid, and that seems to give them a slim majority of Americans. Not all Republicans are "evil", and not all Democrats are pitiful. The Republicans calling the shots today are a very bad example though. I don't vote along party lines, but it has irked me no end that both major parties have provided such poor choices for president, and I'm just sick at heart at the way things have been going. I've lived in Europe and want to go back again, but can do without a bullseye painted on my behind as an American because of the idiotic policies of this president we have in office today.
