Ammo (younger son) and I were travelling to LA once and I got stopped because I had tweezers in my carryon. They had to search the suitcase to see if they were flat tipped or pointy- a distinction that evades my understanding since I am not sure exactly what I would do to take over a plane with either flat or pointy three inch tweezers. But right in back of me came Ammo, a 6'2", strong, 20 year old with a skateboard tied on his back. Went through with no problems.
Now I ask you-- which do you prefer to see coming at you? A 5'2" middle-aged (NOT ELDERLY, DAMN IT)woman waving a lethal looking pair of tweezers, or the 6'2" young guy waving a heavy skateboard at your head?

Why not search the folks who are most likely to be terrorists?

They have not killed enough americans (in this country) yet. If recent events are of any value for predicting the future (London, Madrid, Bali etc.); the USA profiling techniques at airports train stations will ultimately change.
