Remember, the alternative to trying to get 100% of the population to decide how to share the wealth was to let 20% of the population have it all.

Sunnis fear that if southern Iraq establishes a Kurdish-style autonomy, eventually the country would violently break apart, and they would be left with little in the way of natural resources.

And people wonder why the Sunnis are fighting so aggressively. I wonder if it was the lack of resources that caused them to move quickly and take over the reins of power under Saddam......in what was it 1968?

Looks like more fun and games.
